Roberto Bernal
Chief Executive Officer
Roberto Bernal is the CEO of Lyon Bern. He is an Investment Advisor and Wealth Management specialist, dedicated to the architecture and design of advanced financial strategies and investment portfolios. Roberto’s areas of expertise include financial risk management, designing complex financial plans, and developing wealth management strategies. and designing complex investment portfolios designed to achieve alpha.
After graduating with a BBA in Finance from the University of Dayton in 2013, Roberto began his professional career as a Fund Accountant for a global asset management bank with a presence in Puerto Rico, acquiring vast experience in accounting, finance, and mutual fund management. In 2014 Roberto embarked on his career as a personal wealth advisor, helping clients design and navigate a detailed roadmap to achieve their financial objectives and goals. From the year 2016 until 2019, Roberto accepted the challenge and worked as Executive Vice President at a local financial planning company dedicated to the delivery of personalized financial strategies to Puerto Rico’s Physicians and medical professionals.
As Lyon Bern's CEO, Roberto's responsibilities range from client's portfolio building and diversification strategies, to client experience. His main objective is to offer all of Lyon Bern's clients an added value by an exceptional experience when managing their assets and finances.
José M. Crespi Iglesias
Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Jose Crespi is an Investment Adviser Representative and portfolio manager who builds equity, fixed income and balanced portfolios appropriate to investor’s objectives. Jose conducts significant, in-depth investment opportunities research including analysis of underlying fundamentals, technical analysis and continuous monitoring of the macro and micro economic outlook.

After graduating from his master’s degree in Public Health he found a passion in stock analysis and trading and decided to pursue a career out of it working with private equity firms, investment advisory firms and financial services companies. Mr. Jose Crespí has received many in-depths trainings focused on markets, technical analysis and portfolio management.

As CIO of Lyon Bern, Jose's main responsibilities include managing Lyon Bern's proprietary investment portfolios and their underlying positions; while researching, analyzing and modifying them to adjust to any economic and market scenario. Applying his extensive technical analysis knowledge, Jose is responsible for applying Lyon Bern's portfolio risk management strategies, aimed at reducing and protecting client portfolios from downside risk derived from market volatility systematic risk.
Ferdinand Ruaño
Senior Economic Advisor
Ferdinand Ruaño is a serial entrepreneur with ample knowledge in Finance, Wealth Management and Real Estate due to his professional history and development. Among many career accomplishments and adventures, he helped the South African government raise funds and capital in Nelson Mandela's transition in 1994.
With a Finance degree from the University of South Florida, Ferdinand was a securities broker and broker for 5 years in a row for the top 2 stockbrokers in the United States and Puerto Rico. He was considered a pioneer in international investments in Puerto Rico and part of Who is Who on Finance in 1998-1999.
Ferdinand Ruaño also graduated with an M.B.A from Loyola University New Orleans. In 1982 he started working in finance and economic advisory, in 1985 he developed various investment models and created “Total Financial Planning” which later became “Ruaño Investment Planning Group Inc.”.
As a businessman and financial advisor, he worked with various companies in the wealth management industry and was a registered representative for different renowned broker-dealers of the United States. As one of the highlights of his career, he helped raise capital by working as a consultant for the initial public offering of Genaissance Pharmaceuticals in 2000.
Lynnette M. Figueroa
Clients Relationship & Operations Manager
Lynnette is an entrepreneurship and marketing expert with over 20 years’ experience in management and administration of brands and/or businesses. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Finance, and later a master’s degree in Marketing, Lynnette acquired extensive experience in banking, sales, and marketing. Further down her career, she focused on brand management and business administration with an entrepreneurial focus which enabled her to open her own business in 2007.
After joining Lyon Bern LLC in 2019, Lynnette quickly began working as Client Relationship & Operations Manager, becoming a key component in Lyon Bern’s growth. Lynnette’s responsibilities include assisting in the day-to-day operations of the firm and being a liaison between our custodial and our clients assisting them achieve a smooth onboarding process and maintaining a high-level customer satisfaction.
